Escape Rooms Drogheda Turns 2
2 years passed
A lot has happened recently, to the point that we almost missed our second anniversary—which was actually yesterday. Celebrating milestones is essential, especially when turning a long-held vision into a reality.
As enthusiasts of interactive entertainment, we long envisioned bringing something fresh, unique, and engaging to downtown Drogheda.
The concept was simple yet comprehensive: a dedicated entertainment center offering multiple forms of immersive gaming, combining real-life escape rooms, virtual reality (VR) adventures, and outdoor puzzle experiences.
From Concept to a Full Entertainment Portfolio
In September 2024, we took our first official step by opening Escape Rooms Drogheda with our classic Derelict Prison escape room and a VR gaming lounge featuring eight initial titles.
Growth followed a steady, deliberate path:
Catch The Hacker: We launched our second physical escape room, immersing players in a high-stakes investigative scenario.
VR Expansion: Our VR library expanded to nine distinct virtual reality worlds, offering diverse sci-fi and fantasy scenarios.
Street Quest: Following extensive technical planning and development, we introduced our first outdoor Street Quest game, completing our multi-format portfolio.
Two Years of Local Engagement and Growth
Reflecting on the past two years, the evolution of our center highlights a comprehensive expansion from traditional escape rooms to a diverse hub for group activities, corporate team building, and leisure in the region.
Our venue has served countless groups, including birthday parties, corporate team-building events, hen and stag parties, couples, and small-to-large groups. Beyond Drogheda, we have welcomed visitors from Balbriggan, Dundalk, Navan, Swords, Newry, and Belfast, as well as numerous towns across Louth and Meath—apologies to any locations we couldn't list individually. We have also hosted international tourists, school groups, and various sports club teams.
